#DigiMoms - this is a guide for you!

You’re your little one’s one and only, superwoman and role model all wrapped into one. Let’s not forget, you’re also their #DigiMom. So, how should you go about it?

IT PAYS TO BE KIND

Kindness is what makes you, well you!

As a mother, right from the moment, you wake up to when you put your little one to sleep – every minute is a testament of your kindness. It goes without saying, that your child is going to demand a lot of things and obviously tech-related requests can be a little daunting. To make sure your child is feeling heard, schedule in tech time every day. This can include both the PC and the mobile. Once your child knows that this time will be tech time, there won’t be any unexpected demands.

PATIENCE IS A MUSCLE – BUILD IT

This is especially true when it comes to picking the right study resource for your child on the PC. Go through every single website before letting your child use it to ensure there isn’t the information that you don’t want your little one to see. Another thing you need to be careful of is “fake” news and data by teaching your child how to separate fact from fiction.

BE ATTENTIVE

Your child has questions and either you have to answer them or the internet will. The internet will give a quick answer but may not be the right one. In this situation, the best way to go about this is to simply be available and listen.

Every mother swears by a checklist and digital parenting is no different – get your checklist sorted and in no time you’ll be a digital parenting pro! The key here is to take out some time and make the most of what a PC has to offer for you and your entire family. Happy Digital Parenting!
