Three Things India’s Youth Has to Keep in Mind – Even When It’s Not National Youth Day

India is a young country, brimming with untapped potential with more than half our population being below the age of 25. To top it all, we’re likely to have the world’s largest workforce by 2027, with a billion people aged between 15 and 64.

So, what does India’s youth have to keep in mind to thrive in this increasingly tech-dependent society?

1. Your EQ Is as Important as IQ

A person with a good IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is all about pure logic and facts. On the other hand, if you’re high on EQ (Emotional Quotient) as well – you’ll be able to control your emotions, both positive and negative as per your need. The high EQ will equip you with the empathy to understand other people, energy to bounce back from failure and most importantly, focus to do what really matters.

2. You Need to Master The 2 Cs - Communication + Collaboration

Communication is the key to almost everything in our lives. You can make or break anything just by the way you communicate with the people around you. Whether it is drafting an email to your teacher asking for more challenging assignments or managing conflict in group work projects -  you must listen, understand, and then respond accordingly to be your collaborative best.

3. Your PC is Your Tool to Drive Your Passions

Technology, when used in the right manner, can be a great benefactor in society. Lack of knowledge thereof can be a hindrance for an individual to not only be devoid of potential career growth opportunities but also make it difficult to blend in with others who are digital-savvy. Who likes to be left out?

Thus, to be someone who is solution-oriented and a great leader in the future, you have to be someone who not only understands the technical know-how of a PC but also understand what your team needs and take the right decision at the right time. Having the right knowledge about PCs and how to use it to your advantage in this ever-changing digital world is what will make you a catalyst of change this society needs.

Happy National Youth Day!
